Did you know there is a dessert out there that consists of chocolate chip cookies, Oreos and brownies? Did you know this dessert is usually called “Slutty Brownies”? Because I did not, and frankly I’m pretty pissed off that no one told me about them. All these years I’ve been eating these desserts individually, sometimes days apart, like a sucker. But that’s okay. I’m over it. I’m not bitter anymore. No sense in crying over spilt milk.
Milk that I could’ve been drinking while enjoying these delicious brownies, if only someone had told me about them, damn it!!!
Okay, really, I’m fine.
The Rolling Sin blog is a classy place my friends. So I’m gonna title this post “Lady of the Evening Brownies”, but the recipe is still the same. Also, if you’re thinking about using regular Oreos instead of double stuffed because that would be less fattening then just leave right now. There’s no place in this world for regular Oreos anymore. I’m not sure why the CEO of the Oreo company even makes regular ones. And is it weird that when I typed “the CEO of the Oreo company” I envisioned a guy shaped like an Oreo wearing a top hat and carrying a cane, like Mr. Peanut? And would you really get any work done if your boss was a giant walking peanut with a monocle? I think I’d spend most of my time trying to figure out if I should sue for sexual harassment because he wouldn’t stop talking about his nuts.
I said this was a classy blog, didn’t I? Crap.
Anyways, on to the instructions. I once again got too excited about the final product and didn’t stop to take additional photos, but this recipe isn’t difficult so only the final pictures are really necessary.
Make your brownie batter and cookie dough per the instructions. Line the bottom of a 9×9 baking pan with tin foil and then spray the tin foil with a layer of baking spray. Layer 1/2 of the cookie dough on the bottom of a 9×9 baking pan, pressing down to form the bottom. Reserve the remaining cookie dough to be used to make cookies later in the day. Layer as many Oreos that will fit on top of the cookie dough. No need to overlap. One single layer will do.
A cross section of perfection. Once they cool cut them with a plastic knife.
Like the leopard print plate? I got this set when I started college. Who knew it would come in handy for a harlot themed baking post? And how poor are we that we’re still using dinner plates I got in college?
They were very good and stayed soft for about a week. There was only one tiny corner piece left by the end of the week, but it was still super soft and delicious! The double stuffed Oreos are necessary if you want that classic Oreo cream taste, otherwise it will be overpowered by the brownie flavor. If you’re pressed for time you can always use a box mix for the cookie and brownie layer. I just prefer the taste that comes with making those items from scratch.
Slutty Brownies
Adapted from What’s Gaby Cooking
Yield: 1 9×9 brownie pan (I used an 8×8 and it still turned out fabulous)
Serving Size: 16 brownies per recipe
Ingredients
For the Brownie layer:
- 10 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
-
1/2 cup AP flour
For the Oreo layer:
-
1 package of Oreos (double stuffed)
For the Cookie Dough layer:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (at room temp)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cup AP flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
-
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
For the Brownie layer:
- In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter over medium high heat. Add the sugar and cocoa powder once the butter is melted. Whisk to combine and remove from heat. Add the salt, vanilla and eggs and continuously whisk until the eggs are combined. Add the flour and continue to mix. Set batter aside.
For the Cookie Dough layer:
-
Cream together the butter and sugars in a mixer. Add the eggs and vanilla, making sure to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl. Add the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder and mix on low until everything is incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips. Set dough aside.
Assembly:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Line the bottom of a 9×9 baking pan with tin foil and then spray the tin foil with a layer of baking spray.
- Layer 1/2 of the cookie dough on the bottom of a 9×9 baking pan, pressing down to form the bottom of the slutty brownies. Reserve the remaining cookie dough to be used to make cookies later in the day.
- Layer as many Oreos that will fit on top of the cookie dough. No need to overlap. One single layer will do.
- Pour the brownie batter on top of the Oreo layer and make sure it’s evenly layers on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Test with a knife to see if the center is done. If the knife comes out clean, let the brownies rest before serving. If the knife comes out with batter still on it, allow the brownies to bake about 5 minutes more.
This is seriously the highlight of my day, love your blog Amy!
Thanks Terri! Sometimes when I put my thoughts on paper (or screen, actually) things get a little weird. Glad you can appreciate them!
I seriously love your commentary. Hilarious. And these brownies? Fabulous!
Thanks! I love your new theme week with the Book of Mormon! I don’t know how you find the time to make all those amazing treats.
Yes, I initially thought I could love you. Now I know. I’m hooked. You had me at Oreo.

Ha! I know, right? OREOs just make everything better.
Thank you for not calling these ‘Ho Bag Brownies”. Ladies of the night is so classy. ; ) Anyway, call them ‘dog food’ and I would still dive in. YUM! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Birthday Girl! Nothing but the best for you! 🙂 I think I save every single post I get from you in my Inbox!
These are the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. And by crazy I mean lucisously sinfully I have to make them right now crazy. You rock.
Thanks! Let me know how they turn out!
Ho.ly.crap. I can’t even believe someone put these together! I ‘ve never heard of them and can’t believe I’ve been missing them my whole life!!! Boxed mixes? No way jose. If I knew how to make oreos I’d make them myself too! And no on the double stuff, thanks. I love the originals. No colors, no flavors, just good old oreos.
Thanks! And I appreciate you leaving a comment even though we disagree on the importance of regular vs. double stuffed OREOs. To each their own, I suppose! If you make them then be sure to share some pics! 🙂
